Yes this last Ms update release screwed up 5 machines total for 4 different client of mine. I just used system restore on four of them, to go back to just before the automatic update installed, then reinstall the updates. You really have to wonder how MS tests these updates! Problem 1: When first loading my computer, the screen pops up with the little scrolling bar across the bottom of the black screen when Windows is trying to load, but the computer either goes to a BLUE error screen or it restarts itself.
So basically I am completely frozen. Obviously I'm not the first person who's had this happen, and it ALWAYS happens when they update it from Microsoft SP1 , so I know it's not some hardware or something that's just "old" or maybe "not quite right". I've read posts from back in , so I know someone somewhere has a solution.
Even though I really can't lose some of the files for my company on my computer, at this point So please if anyone out there has a REAL solution And please don't ask me to boot it from my CD to repair it, because Even in the F8 screen, I believe there's a repair option there, or an option to load from the last successful load point. NONE of those work. So, now that I have successfully ruled out ANY hope of fixing this, I'll sit back and wait for some magical genius to offer me a realistic solution and I don't mean my solution of throwing it through the window.
